In the Beginning....

This Advent Season we have been dong a marvelous devotion set and family activity called the Jesse Tree. (see www.jesse-trees.com). It has really touched and blessed our lives to revisit the Old Testament prophecies and reminders of God's promises as well as our need for the Savior. This has answered a prayer in my own life of how to bring the Old and New Testament together in a simplistic way for our two new sons. It will be a great tool in helping with the next Christmas season.

Did you know in Russia, Christmas is not celebrated as we do here?? It is common to have "life as ususal". We know several couples who actually have their court date on Christmas Day! We believe there will be much ground to cover spritually, but that God has a definite plan for their lives, (Jer 29:11) and has called them out of darkness, to be part of the Light.
"For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ." 2 Cor. 4:6

Will you pray that God will continue drawing them to Himself, and that their hearts will be soft to the Truth. Thanks so much, and may the favor of His Light rest upon you!!
